Toronto Fashion Week: Day 1

Blazer: Phillip Lim for Target Shirt: J Crew Jeans: Kill City Jeans Shoes: Prada Watch: MBMJ Necklaces: ALDO and H&M

On the first day of fashion week, I decided to pay a little homage to the Canadian Tuxedo with some denim on denim. I opted for this blazer instead of a denim jacket because of the details: collarless, two-tone and the side slits.

More after the jump...

Beaufille was the first show, Sabina and I attended during Toronto Fashion Week. Their F/W 2014 looks had a lot of  play on texture, mixture of materials and distinctive shapes. Leather was one of the dominant materials used in the collection but it was refreshing to see it used in a multitude of ways with the right hints of detail - the rose embossed leather , pleated knee length skirt, oversized tank tops and floor grazing skirts. The colour palette was primarily black and greys with a hint of blood orange red. But I had a particular appreciation for the shoes at the Beaufille show!

Here are my favourite looks from the show!
